Life of a Girl in University

Hi everybody! I am a Thai girl student!
I am a fourth years student at the biggest university in Udonthani. I am living with my two friends at a dormitory in Udonthani city while I am studying here. I think that I like this time of my life very much. It is wonderful because I don't have to work. I just spend my time studying and "playing".
Money is not a big problem, because I have a little money to spend all the time. When my money is finished I just go back to my home and ask for some from my parents and then they can give me the money I want. I think that I am very lucky. More lucky than some of my friends that have to work for getting some money to pay for school. Some of them have to work at pubs or bars in night time or their free time. They don't have time to sleep and read their books or do their homework. Sometimes, they could not come to class or maybe they come too late. I could see that their scores also are lower. I know they could not choose to do it in a other way. Their life are different from mine. I have a easier life. I don't have to struggle that much.
In my free time, I always go to the internet cafe and shopping mall just for spending time and for fun. I know I should read and go to the library but I don't always do that. Actually, I don't go to the library to read unless it is absolutely necessary. On my night time after I was finished my homework I would spend most of my time to talk to my friends and listen to music.
Sometimes my friends and I would go out to drink and dance that to relax. Now, I am going to graduate. I realize that I haven't done my duty as a student good enough. If I could travel back in time, I would like to have been a little better child for my parents.
I will not follow my friends and the modern life style so much. Yes, modern life style is good for development our country because it is great for technology but it makes Thai culture changing to the worse. I think that the modern life makes people more selfish and lazy. The family is getting less important and worst of all; it makes children not respecting older people like before.
Yes, traditional life style makes the development of Thai country slow but I think that Thailand will still develop even with traditional lifestyle.
So, everything has a good and a bad side. It is up to every person to choose.
Well, this is my opinion about traditional and modern life. What is your opinion? I would like you to think a little about this. Maybe you are thinking in a different way. Everyone have right to have different views. But to share opinions with each other, that is a good way.
